I visited the Whistle Stop Restaurant and Museum April 28, 2010, with a group of ladies from Kokomo and Lafayette. We had a very good lunch prior to touring the museum. The museum collections are wonderful and brought back many memories of my travels on the Monon in the 1950's.

I highly recommend a visit to the Whistle Stop Restaurant and Museum. Our guide had much knowledge of the railroad and made the tour extremely interesting.

Visited with my Dad. Both restaurant and museum were fabulous! Best sandwich I ever ate! Tour guide was so informative. I will be bringing my grandsons the next time they come to visit.

We visited both the diner and museum yesterday. I can't say enough about how wonderful our visit was. My boys, 5 and 2, absolutely loved it along with us. Can't wait to come back again!

What a great surprise. I had viewed and episode of Wander Indiana and thought the Connection would be fun to visit. My wife and I had the opportunity to visit because our daughter was visiting Lake Shafer. We set aside an hour and ended up spending 3-1/2. Being a long time Monon and railroad fan I found the exhibits both interesting and true to the industry. A must visit for all rail enthusiasts.

I have been involved with the Monon and L&N railroad for many years and my family before me.I found the museum interesting and very authentic. The guides were very good and answered all questions well.I would recommend that you visit this museum.

My family and I were there today and enjoyed a wonderful afternoon! The museum was awesome, so many more things than I imagined! Harold was wonderful, very informative, very nice! Thank you! We had dinner in the restaurant. Everything we had was delicious! What a wonderful experience. The trip took a little over an hour and we will be making that trip again. Mr. & Mrs. Ward- thank you for everything. I was a pleasure to meet you. You mean a lot to my dad (Gene Byarlay)!

Sincerely, Janet Butala

What a lovely surprise. What I thought was going to be a 20 minute browse through the museum turned out to be a 4 hour adventure. This place is amazing. There is so much history here.

What made our visit so nice the guide Harold Harvey. He knows this museum inside out. Not only does he know just about everything there is to know about trains, but he knows United States/Indiana history which he uses to make the visit so rich. Oh, and the food at the next door cafe was delicious.

I highly recommend stopping by and checking it out, and when you do, be sure to chat with Harold, he will make your visit memorable.
