I was visiting family in Northwest Indiana last week and paid my 2nd visit to the Monon Connection. Being from Indiana originally, I really enjoyed all the great items and history of the Monon and other railroads in your collection. You also have a very fine collection of railroad pocket watches that I enjoyed viewing. The gentleman that showed us around, I believe his name was David, was very knowledgeable and friendly. We also had a great meal in the Whistle Stop dinner. Thank you so much for preserving all the great history of railroading in Indiana and this country.

On Saturday the 23rd I was at your site for the first time with two other fellow railroader fans. We were in the area to visit North Judson to ride NKP 765 that afternoon so we had to visit the museum.
What I saw was beyond words and I intend on coming back for another visit. There is so much to see that it is overwhelming for only one visit.
The food was also very good and I already informed one of my good friends that works for Metra Electric who is a conductor of my visit and he will be visiting your site as well.
Thanks for the great collection!
The tibster!

Bud

My compliments to Mr. Ward and his "White Glove"
collection of railroad artifacts. From the dinner
service, lanterns, brass bells, to the operating
signals outside, the quality and condition of the
collection is probably one of the finest in the
country.
As a photographer who worked for the Illinois
Central Railroad and Pullman Standard, it is great
to see railroad history being preserved with such
meticulous care.
My thanks also to Mr. Harvey for his tour and
detailed explanation of the artifacts on display.

This is a must see for anyone interested in railroad history and the food is very good . No matter the level of interest in railroads this will satisfy. As a long time collector this museum is awesome both in quantity and quality. The outdoor display sure gets your attention. The staff is very friendly and helpfull. We visited on consecutive days and we could go back tomorrow if there was not a distance problem. Thanks again for your hospitality.

Dale, The website is great. Hope you continue to enjoy such a great facility. I have never seen a small museum that is so well done and maintained.

McLoughlin I have a Monon, the Hoosier Line business card for a Timothy O’Rourke, my father’s best man at his wedding in 1943. It reads Timothy W. O’Rourke, General Agent, Monon Railroad, 451 Old South Building, Boston 8, Massachusetts. My dad is still living but lost track of Tim and his wife Ethel years ago, here in New York, and I’d love to find out if Tim is living or if and when he passed away. Dad worked with him at the Chemical Warfare Office in New York City, before he joined the Army Air Corp and flew in the South Pacific as a gunner on a B-24. If you have any ideas or any suggestions for tracking him down, I’d really appreciate it. I don’t know if there would be any work related records left, or where they would be, so any and all ideas are welcome. Thanks very much. Tom McLoughlin Monroe, NY (845) 590-7992

Although I didn't have another BNSF cap for you this trip, I was again impressed with the scope of you collection. I hope that Dale will get to recording on tape the major parts of the collection so that this wonderful history is not lost! Thanks so much for an enjoyable Railroad Museum. Best wishes to all...Paul

My family and I plan to visit tomorrow Friday, August 1. My grandson Nathan has been a railroad fanatic since he was two years old. He has wanted to visit your place for two years and we are finally going to make it tomorrow. Thanks, Bill Brown and family
